Team Running Free 2011

Well I am now officially a member of Team Running Free 2011. More discounts, more races, and more great gear! Looking forward to another great race season. Already planning on doing a marathon or two, plus the Full Vineman Triathlon (ironman distance) in California.

Training has started and feeling great, going to be pushing myself harder then ever this year to see how far and fast I can go. Pushing my limits to see what they really are and what kind of numbers I put up this year.

SLS3 Compression

Hi everyone: Just thought I would post about my most recent purchase, the SLS3 compression socks. I have been having very tight calfs in training for the Hamilton Marathon in Nov. So I decided to try something to resolve the issue, next to of course regular massages and extra stretching. I will give you an update in a few weeks as to how the calf recovery is going. As I stated earlier, I am currently in training for the Hamilton marathon in Nov. I am now training 4 days a week running a mixing some biking and weight training as well. I am also now looking at getting a new pair of training shoes as my old Mizuno Wave Riders are now worn out and actually hurting my feet. I am looking at the Mizuno Wave Precision 11 shoe, which I will be trying out tonight at Running Free in Newmarket. blessings, Jason

First run in a few weeks

I went for my first run in a few weeks. I did almost 9 miles in just over an hour, not bad for not even starting my running training yet. But I felt good most of way, until the last mile where some things were starting to tighten up. I also pre-ordered my Team Running Free gear today, which is cool, I am very excited to be a part of this team this year. I also went to Running Free in Newmarket to check out some of their new products and also had a good talk with John Posca who filled me in on some details about the plans for the Newmarket location, which was cool.
